Fasting makes you lose weight. The question is: which kind.

Solfasta started with a real experience — one many people have on multi-day fasts: the scale shows less, but part of what's gone was muscle, not fat. Not for lack of willpower, but because nobody tells you what actually matters.

That is exactly where Solfasta comes in: electrolytes before the day turns heavy. Strength training as a standing signal to your body. And a refeed that doesn't gamble away what you just earned.

What disappears from the scale while fasting isn't automatically fat. Without salt, without training, without a plan, your body helps itself to muscle too — quietly, and you only notice afterwards.

A coach, not a stopwatch.

A timer tells you how long you've been fasting. Solfasta tells you what matters today — and does the counting for you.

Salt is not a detail

The hardest part of fasting is rarely the hunger — it's that washed-out feeling when water and salt run low. That's why electrolytes sit at the top of every Solfasta morning: in kitchen measures, not milligram tables.

Electrolytes

1 tsp of salt in a glass of water, spread across the day — your biggest lever against fasting symptoms.

Your training stays in the plan

Your body keeps what gets used. Strength training while fasting is exactly that signal — which is why Solfasta treats it as a fixed part of your day, not an option.

Strength training

Not optional — your protection signal for keeping muscle.

Every day is a sun you light yourself

The sun is the only body that shines without taking anything in — which is exactly what you do while fasting. In Solfasta you ignite your day sun each morning, and every completed task grows its corona of rays. What you have lit stays lit.

Day 1 ignited. Day 2 in progress. Day 3 waiting.
Coach screen of the Solfasta app (shown in German): asked "I'm hungry, is that normal on day 2?", the coach reassures and suggests electrolyte water; asked "Am I losing muscle?", it points to electrolytes and strength training.

For the moment you want to quit.

Day 2, late afternoon, your head starts negotiating. That's when the coach is there: it knows your fasting day, your goal, and your tasks — and answers like someone who knows you can do this.

And if you truly feel unwell, it always tells you the same thing: stop, and get medical advice.

From the decision to that first bite after

  1. Step 01

    Set your plan

Three days, five, more? You decide. First, Solfasta asks a few honest questions about your health — not as a hurdle, but so you start with a clear conscience.

    • Fasting length in days, not hours
    • A short health check before every multi-day fast
    • A clear nudge when talking to a doctor belongs in the plan
  2. Step 02

Wake up knowing what to do

Every morning starts with a short briefing for your exact fasting day — day 1 feels different from day 3, and the app knows it. After that the day stays deliberately light: a few tasks, electrolytes first.

    • One briefing every morning, written for your day
    • Five tasks at most — electrolytes always first
    • Your day sun grows fuller with every completed task
  3. Step 03

Break your fast without regretting it

The last stretch counts: Solfasta walks you back to eating step by step — broth first, then vegetables, then light protein. And every day you saw through stays in your history as a lit sun.

    • A guided refeed instead of hunger roulette
    • Step by step: broth, vegetables, light protein
    • No streak pressure — what you have lit stays lit

Sound like you?

  • You want to lose fat — but not the muscle you've spent years training for.
  • You've read your way through forums, videos, and half a dozen studies. Now you want one plan instead of twenty open tabs.
  • You don't need a cheerleader. You want to know what to do — and then go do it.

What Solfasta is not

Solfasta is not a medical app. The coach doesn't diagnose, doesn't prescribe anything, and doesn't replace a conversation with your doctor.

Before a multi-day fast, the app asks about known contraindications — such as pregnancy, diabetes, or a history of eating disorders — and in those cases explicitly advises you to talk to your doctor first.

And if you feel seriously unwell while fasting, one rule always applies: stop, and get medical advice. That's exactly what the coach will tell you, too.
